Suggestions of super-ripe strawberry blend with touches of fresh tobacco leaf and vanilla wafers on the nose. These aromas continue on the palate where they unite with black raspberry, cranberry, white pepper and clove. The juicy finish reflects these red fruits with undertones of black tea leaf.
Aging: 100% barrel aged for 16 months – 15% new French oak, 85% neutral oak. .
Composition: 100% Zinfandel
Alcohol: 15.2%
Interesting Facts: Head pruned vines with low yields. Third production of our new clone FPS 08 (small cluster and berry size) will add a deeper color, rich texture and spice. Harvested August 18th at 25.3 brix.
