Suggestions of super-ripe strawberry blend with touches of fresh tobacco leaf and vanilla wafers on the nose. These aromas continue on the palate where they unite with black raspberry, cranberry, white pepper and clove. The juicy finish reflects these red fruits with undertones of black tea leaf.
Aging: 100% barrel aged for 12 months – 16% new French oak, 84% neutral oak. .

Interesting Facts: Zinfandel is a Deaver clone - Sierra Foothills (large cluster & berry size) located at Zin Ranch, and Primitivo (located at Callaway) has darker skin, deeper color, more intense flavors, righ texture, and spice. Harvested September 15thth at 25.3 brix.
