Dark, spicy and brimming with black fruit, this vintage will only get better with time. Black currant and blackberry meet baking spices, vanilla bean with hints of toffee, black cherry, walnuts, nutmeg and pipe tobacco.
Interesting Facts: Harvested on August 28th with Brix sugar levels of 24.0. Cold soaked in tank for two days at 48°F and fermented for 7 days with temperatures from 70-88°F. Higher temps are essential for extraction of color. A French yeast was used to add complexity, darker fruit characters and spice. Free Run wine is used for all Reserve wines, no pressed wines are used.
